He has published numerous articles about the nursing and medical history of his home town of Liverpool. A member of the Socialist Health Association, he conducts walks through Liverpool city centre outlining events in the city&#8217;s public health history. He is also the author of a book about the history of neurology and neurosurgery on Merseyside and of the regional neuroscience unit, the Walton Centre.
