CHRIS JONES is a retired academic nurse from Edge Hill University in Ormskirk, Lancashire. He has published numerous articles about the nursing and medical history of his home town of Liverpool. A member of the Socialist Health Association, he conducts walks through Liverpool city centre outlining events in the city’s public health history. He is also the author of a book about the history of neurology and neurosurgery on Merseyside and of the regional neuroscience unit, the Walton Centre. He is a member of the Socialist History Society.
